Training Tip #8- Stay Connected
One of the keys to creating a successful and sustainable career in real estate is to stay in touch with previous clients, keep tabs on current prospects and (perhaps most importantly) to generate referrals from your friends, neighbors and family.
We find that it is almost impossible to create a highly successful real estate career without having a system in place to do these things. Otherwise, you are really no more than a hamster on a treadmill, running a million miles an hour to keep up. Until the time comes when you’re too tired or begin to lose enthusiasm.
If you have been around this business for more than a couple years you have undoubtedly seen the career path that so many hard working agents follow. Here it is: work hard gain some success work harder become a top producer work even harder become a premier agent start to coast for a while become a former premier agent
It seems that as soon as you let up for a second you start to lose altitude. Where are all the Top Producers from 10 years ago? Probably only 40% of them are still near the Top. Another 30% are struggling to make a decent living and the final 30% of agents that were top Producers only 10 years ago are retired or out of the business.
Why have 70% of them fallen form grace? Because they didn’t have a plan in place to convert prior sales into future revenue streams.
We have a fantastic program that was created to teach you how to do just that. The program is called 100 Days to Greatness. It is designed for all agents who want to begin to walk away from the “treadmill business” into a sustainable and highly successful real estate career. The program was developed by Brian Buffini in conjunction with RE/MAX and it has been proven to work. Agents taking the course are, on average, closing an extra 2 transactions within the first 100 days.
